Interplanetary Shock (or CME Arrival)
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Location: Earth
Event Time: 2022-10-04T07:05Z ( DSCOVR: PLASMAG )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
DSCOVR: PLASMAG

ACE: MAG
Activity ID: 2022-10-04T07:05:00-IPS-001 (version 4)
Quality of ICME Signature: -1 (unspecified)
Note: The potential arrival is characterized by a small pile-up of magnetic field components, accompanied by a smooth-like rotation in the Bz-component. None of the magnetic field components reached 10 nT. During this same period, density and temperature appear to decrease. This is a tricky arrival signature due to previous disturbances in the magnetic field components obscuring some of the CME-shock arrival signatures. We can have a potential CME arrival at 2022-10-04T07:05Z. From Tarik Salman, LASSOS team: As you can see, we do have a smooth-like rotation in the z-component. Also, in the same period, the density and temperature seem to decrease from higher levels. A potential end of this CME could be 2022-10-05T02:46Z. After this, you can see the components are too fluctuating (or noisy).
